Our automation safety background runs from robot and manufacturing plant safety cells in the early 1990s through to building, defence, medical and mining automation today.
Some of that work becomes a product. Airsave is an HVAC control platform for remote accommodation villages, developed by our Oasis IQ arm with Writewell Systems: it reads the site shift roster and the power plant telemetry, holds each room in one of three modes, and pre-cools rooms before workers return from shift. The engineering rules behind it are the ones we apply to every control system we build — control the existing equipment over IR, dry contact or Modbus rather than replacing it, keep the control network separate from site IT and OT, and design every field controller to carry on locally if the head end drops, so the system has no single point of failure.
