King's Chapel auditorium lighting
A failing dimmer system replaced with SpaceLogic C-Bus, a DALI-2 gateway and a custom touchscreen, controlling twenty new LED high bays and two blue stage floods at The King's Chapel in Wellard.

Twenty fittings, five zones, one room that's easy to run.
An old dimmer board, lamps nobody makes, and a room that had outgrown four zones.
- A Dynalite dimmer board that was failing and no longer split the room the way it is used
- Twenty 400 W metal halide high bays, with replacement lamps no longer available
- Four zones, controlled from an old panel
- Dimmable LED lighting across the whole auditorium
- Five zones, so the lights over the projector screens can be dimmed on their own
- Controls staff and volunteers can use without training
- The work done over the school holidays
One C-Bus network, one controller doing the thinking.
Built for the people who run the room.

The system does the thinking, so nobody has to.
Automatic blue stage lights
Two blue floods behind the stage, switched by a C-Bus relay, come on with any row. Only All Off or Stage Blue turns them off.
Screen and keypad stay in step
The scene highlight follows the lights, whether they're set from the screen, a slider or the wall.
Fault banner
A driver or network fault reported by the gateway puts a red banner on the screen.
Yearly service reminder
An amber banner each October from 2027 prompts the annual service call.

One enclosure on the mezzanine, on the old board's supply.
| Product | Job on this site |
|---|---|
| 5500AC2 application controller | Touchscreen pages, scenes and logic scripts |
| 5502CDGP230 DALI-2 gateway | DALI-2 line for all 20 high bays |
| 5504RVF relay | Switches the two blue stage floods; C-Bus supply and clock |
| 5085EDL eDLT keypad | Five-key wall keypad |
| 5500BUR burden | Clean, reliable DALI communication |
The new enclosure replaced the old Dynalite dimmer board on the same supply. The system was built and tested on the bench at our Osborne Park office before it went to site.

Quick control by the door, without unlocking the screen.
| Key | Controls |
|---|---|
| Row 1 | Whole front row |
| Rows 2 to 4 | Each row on its own |
| Full House | All twenty high bays |
Both control points drive the same C-Bus groups, so whatever is set on one shows on the other. Every key dims: tap to switch, hold to dim, with a bar graph and a four-second ramp.
So the site visit was short.
